JUST RETURNED FORM ORLANDO VACATION WITH TWIN 5 YEAR OLDS.GUIDE WAS RIGHT ON FOR PLANING TRIPS FOR YOUNG CHILDREN VISITING THE PARKS.
The maps at the end of the book are valuable when planning your tour through the parks, we didn't follow it to the letter, but by visiting the things we wanted to see using the guide, we had low wait times and tons of fun. This guide is an invaluable tool for first-time planners, especially. We even found a doctor for our DD who developed a fever and strep throat while we were there using this guide. It was recommended on a website recommended by a friend, also a valuable resource, mousesavers.com We planned our first trip to WDW in April 2008, it never left my hands during the planning process and had its own special book cover the whole time we were there. As with any vacation, call to confirm any vital details before you go, such as transportation and child care, and everything will go smoothly. Also extremely helpful for crowd estimates is the crowd website mentioned in the book for each park, we found it to be very accurate. I'm sure you'll enjoy this valuable guide as much as we did (it became known as "The Book" in our family).enjoy.
The book and the personalized tour plans were a Godsend to us as "newbies".The personalized plans worked to perfection and lessened our family's anxiety. Simply the most comprehensive Disney guide on the market. We're just back from our 1st trip to WDW with our 2 and 3 year old girls. Best Advice: Take the kids back to hotel or wherever you are staying for lunch and a break/nap. They came back refreshed for the evening.
I saw several people who were carrying it around Disneyworld. It is not written by Disney, so it gives you all things Disney - good and bad.
We went for the 1st time in 2000 and I read this book cover to cover before going. This is a MUST for ANYONE who is planning a trip to Disneyworld.
It shortens your line wait time by guiding you through that process. It MADE our trip.
We did not spend a lot of time trying to figure things out. I have been 2 more times since then and I buy the book each time for the maps and as a reference to see what's new.WONDERFUL TOOL.
I left the book in my cabin at Fort Wilderness and tore out the map pages and took them into the parks with me.
